I want to congratulate both Kurt Bill and Jeff Weisensel for winning the election to be our next city council members in Rosemount.  The campaign was a difficult one with 26 people on the ballot, but I believe in the end our community is much better for it.  It is also a testament to the passion we all have for Rosemount and the wiliness for people to stand up to serve.  I know both Kurt and Jeff understand the privilege and responsibility bestowed on them.

I want to also take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported my run for city councilman.  There were many of you that sacrificed your weekends to help me door knock and get the word out on my candidacy, for that I am eternally grateful.

Even though I may have lost this city council race, I have no regrets in participating in it.  This was a great opportunity for me personally and I have become a better person for it.  It was a privilege to meet so many people that had different personal life stories to share.  It made me very proud to be part of our community and I look forward to continually serving in our community in whatever capacity is possible. 

The city council race of 2008 may be over, but the race of making our world a better place is not.  So get out there and volunteer.  Make a difference for good in our world and I look forward to seeing you there.
